In the last few years of teaching, I have gone through much personal and professional growth as an educator. I attribute this not only to learning on the job but also my courses and professors at Johns Hopkins, my colleagues and fellow Spanish teachers, Teach for America, Educators for Excellence, and, of course, my students. Here are three crucial elements that demonstrate my growth as a teacher: Assessment, Planning for Instruction, and Instructional Strategies.
